Job overview

Budmouth Academy is a large 11-18 academy in a beautiful part of the country and is a member of the Aspirations Academies Trust. We are looking for an exceptional and highly experienced individual to play an important role in our unique school.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for someone wishing to further develop their career. The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader with the ability to inspire staff and students to achieve outstanding outcomes.

We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude towards young people and who will enjoy inspiring them in their learning of Modern Foreign Languages and who has an ardent enthusiasm for teaching, learning and the progression of young people. We are looking for an individual able to fulfil a team role that will complement the energy, dynamism and originality of thought, present in our established team.

Candidates must be able to teach across the ability and age range, supporting MFL to the highest standards for all pupils at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. This post would suit a teacher of experience, and as your professional development is important to us, we offer a comprehensive package of CPD opportunities, including nationally recognised qualifications that suit all types of career progression. These are widely available, free of charge through the ALI (the Aspirations Learning Institute) at all of the Aspirations Academy schools. The subject coordinator for MFL is a vital member of the Academy’s leadership team. In addition, Budmouth has its very own Well-being Charter and working group, as we genuinely prioritise the well-being of our staff.

Our current team offers a range of extra-curricular activities in languages and provides support sessions to ensure students reach their full potential, and if successful, we would hope that you would share this work ethic.

Budmouth Academy Weymouth is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. We value the diversity of our workforce and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
