Our school is at an exciting stage of development, having just opened phase one of our new buildings housing a contemporary new Sixth Form facility, Student Café and number of well-equipped classrooms, with Phase 2 opening in September 2018 to include a bespoke Drama studio and theatre.  The community provides a purposeful learning environment for both students and staff, stressing the importance of creativity, independence, celebration and empathy. Staff and students enjoy positive working relationships making it a happy and inspiring place to work.  


The Drama department achieves outstanding results for GCSE and A level examinations, and provides a full and varied calendar of extra-curricular activities across the Key Stages.  We have extensive links with the local community through ongoing projects and we are recognised for our achievement in the Arts with the Artsmark Gold award . 


Our thriving department is excited to welcome applications for a new Subject Leader who will get the opportunity to open our brand new drama studio and theatre. Our ideal candidate will nto only be well-qualified but an organised, innovative and committed Drama specialist. This is a fast paced role in a high achieving team. We welcome applicants who are enthusiastic, flexible, committed to raising attainment and removing barriers to improve life chances of our young people. If successful in the post, you would report to the Director of English and Drama and lead the passionate team, putting on annual productions that are at the heart of school life.
