We are looking for a brilliant Head of Geography who can drive student engagement and secure high quality teaching and learning across the Geography Curriculum. You will play a crucial role in actively shaping the curriculum’s development and future success.
We always seek enthusiastic and adaptable individuals with excellent professional standards and good communication skills. You will have successful experience working with children and young people in an educational setting, with a proven record of accelerated progress and high achievement for all students.
This is an exciting opportunity because Geography is a popular option taken at KS4. We believe in ensuring all students engage with the curriculum and are able to achieve beyond their own expectations. Your passion and talent will combine with cutting edge approaches to teaching to foster confidence and enthusiasm in our students, helping them overcome any barriers to learning. Your experience, subject expertise and vision will make a real difference to the lives of our young people. This is a position that will offer you a platform to make a real difference to the students you will inspire and bring Geography to life.
You will be joining a team of experienced and dedicated teachers with a strong commitment to provide excellent teaching and learning, and the continued development of the curriculum in line with the school’s strategic objectives.

The Birkenhead Park School is a co-educational secondary school for children aged 11-16 and has over 700 students on roll.
