St Paul’s Way Trust School, supported by Queen Mary University of London is seeking to appoint an outstanding, creative and forward looking Subject Leader for English to work closely alongside the Head of Faculty for English to consolidate and build on the recent immense gains in the department.  You will have the capacity to adopt new and creative ways to teach English from 11 to 18. You will have the contagious enthusiasm for the subject which excites and motivates both staff and students.  Recent A’ level experience will be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate should be excited about the opportunities presented to adapting to 100 minute lessons and changes to the new A-Level and GCSE specifications as well as developing a vibrant Key Stage 3 curriculum. They should be ambitious and creative in their curriculum design and have a passion for developing the pedagogy of the team working in partnership with the Head of Faculty. 

Underpinning everything, the successful candidate will have an unwavering belief in the potential of every student and a commitment to taking the English Faculty forward.
