Do you want to be part of a Science Department that are a supportive, committed and experienced team who take pride in delivering innovative and enjoyable lessons to inspire a love of science?

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly effective and experienced practitioner who has taught KS3 through to KS5. Over the last two years, the team achieved results at KS4 that were placed in the top 10% for progress nationally. The department operates in a fully consultative and supportive manner and there is a strong sense of collegiality. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Current  knowledge of curriculum developments and issues in subject area
  • Understanding of the development of study skills, independent learning and assessment
  • Proven record of promoting high student achievement
  • High level learning and teaching skills
  • The ability to motivate and inspire both staff and students
  • The ability to delegate and consult effectively
  • Very good organisational and management skills
  • Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be flexible and a good team player
