This is why we send students home early on a Tuesday and spend two hours each week talking, collaborating and planning our teaching, and then we all leave before 5pm. Hylands School are looking to appoint an exceptional professional who will join a successful enthusiastic and talented humanities faculty and work with us to inspire our students. The role will involve teaching Geography at key stages 3 and 4 and A level and would be suitable for an experienced teacher.
The successful candidate will be someone who knows how to inspire students in order to challenge them to achieve outstanding progress and is someone who is prepared to go ‘above and beyond’.

About Hylands School
Hylands School is a mixed secondary school, with a small sixth form, for pupils aged 11-18. Located in Chelmsford, Essex, it converted to an academy in 2011 and is part of the Kemnal Academies Trust.
Hylands School’s sixth form provides students with opportunities to study a range of A-levels and BTECs, and to join a vibrant community where taking on new responsibilities contributes to social and personal development.
In 2016, Hylands School was placed in the top 100 schools for sustained improvement. Rising GCSE results in 2014 and 2015 were achieved through a culture of determination and resilience among all the staff and students. The school aims to continue this trend onwards and upwards.
