The Reach Free School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Subject Leader of Geography to join our team of talented, energetic and visionary teachers. 

This unique opportunity offers the right candidate the chance to play an integral role as we seek to secure our first set of GCSE results, and begin to establish our provision for Post-16 education, which launches in 2018. Humanities has a high profile at The Reach Free School, and we are looking for a dynamic individual to lead the Geography branch of our Humanities offer.

This is an excellent career opportunity offering valuable leadership and management experience that would provide the ideal preparation for future leadership roles. 

We are looking for an expert practitioner with successful teaching experience across the age and ability range and someone who demonstrates a good understanding of the potential of technology to enhance learning. 

You will have a passion for your subject area, and a track record of excellent teaching, collaboration and creativity. You will hold and embody the highest expectations of your pupils and will have the drive and ambition to create an outstanding environment for learning, in your subject area and beyond. 

The ability to teach multiple disciplines in Key Stage 3 Humanities is required for this post.

About The Reach Free School

The Reach Free School is an 11- to 18-year-old school in Rickmansworth that serves pupils of all backgrounds and abilities. It was opened in September 2013 by teachers and local parents in response to a significant demand for more secondary school places in the area.

All involved with the school have high aspirations for our pupils and high expectations of them. As such, we expect all pupils to:
