We are seeking an exceptional individual who has the ambition and creativity to lead and develop our Computer Science department. This is an ideal opportunity for a first post as Head of Department. The successful candidate will be the sole teacher of Computer Science in Years 8-11 for 2018/19. This is an exciting time to be at Dagenham Park Church of England School as there will be the opportunity to grow and staff the department in 2019/2020. We moved into our state of the art building in 2012 and virtually all classrooms have 30 computers. The successful candidate will be fully supported by outstanding line management. The school is located within easy reach of central London via the District Line and easily accessible via the A13.  DPCoE is rich in diversity and dedicated to inclusive learning for all. Dagenham Park is a Church of England denominational, co-educational secondary school with Sixth Form situated in East London. As of the most recent inspection, there were 1,394 students on the school roll, of which 164 were in sixth form. The nearest London Underground station is Dagenham Heathway on the District Line.

Dagenham Park Church of England School continues to be a good school.

Leaders have reviewed what they want pupils to learn and when they want them to learn  it in all subject areas. This means that learning is planned and sequenced so that pupils  can remember more and develop their skills. Leaders’ actions mean that pupils achieve  well at this school. Teachers check that pupils can recall previous lessons through ‘do  now’ activities. Teachers implement leaders’ plans well. Pupils’ books include good-quality  work and show how the pupils are learning the planned subject content. Teachers and  pupils assess the work in books and pupils correct their mistakes and misunderstandings
