Job overview

Subject Leader - Maths

Hinchingbrooke School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational Subject Leader of Mathematics. We are looking to recruit an outstanding professional who can contribute to an excellent team achieving equally impressive results.  The department is innovative and forward thinking, containing 2 Specialist Leaders of Education and the creator of the PiXL Maths App (a Maths application used in over 1200 schools nationally). We are looking for a highly committed team player, with a passion for mathematics and an understanding of the strategies required to motivate and inspire students.

The successful candidate will lead a collaborative department of 15 teachers with a range of expertise and skills, overseen by a Head of Faculty and supported by 2 Maths Leaders, 3 Key Stage Co-ordinators and 2 dedicated HLTAs.  From the moment you join us you will feel welcomed and supported by a team ranging from NQTs through to highly experienced practitioners.

Last year the department went against the national trend by improving their headline results. This follows a sustained period of consistent improvement. The Subject Leader we are looking for will lead the Maths team to secure excellent outcomes at all key stages and to move forward and build on the successes of last year’s exam results. We seek someone with the drive and passion to share high quality and innovative practice in the classroom.

We welcome applications from candidates who are student focused and passionate about sharing their own love of Mathematics with our diverse and inclusive student body.
