Global Academy is seeking a Subject Leader for Maths to drive excellence in mathematics teaching and learning. The ability to teach a second subject – particularly science – would give you the edge in securing this role.

As a UTC, we admit students at the start of Key Stage 4 (Year 10), allowing us to deliver a broad and ambitious curriculum that balances academic excellence with vocational specialisms.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire as the Subject Leader for Maths. You will:
- Develop and deliver an outstanding mathematics curriculum, ensuring it is well-sequenced, engaging, and focused on mastery learning.
- Lead a team of dedicated teachers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
- Set high expectations for student achievement, ensuring all students, regardless of starting point, make exceptional progress.
- Use data-driven strategies to monitor and evaluate teaching quality, identifying interventions where necessary.
- Develop and implement effective assessment strategies, ensuring students receive timely, high-quality feedback.
- Support cross-curricular links, particularly with computing, business, and media subjects, to enhance interdisciplinary learning.
- Play an active role in the academy's leadership team, contributing to whole-school initiatives and strategic planning.

What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader who:
- Is an outstanding teacher of mathematics with a proven track record of raising student achievement.
- Has experience in leading curriculum development, implementing effective assessment strategies, and supporting teacher development.
- Is ambitious for every student, ensuring they leave academically successful and industry-ready.
- Uses data analysis and research-driven methods to inform teaching and learning strategies.
- Is an excellent communicator, able to inspire both students and staff.
- Can teach a second subject—particularly Science—which would be highly advantageous.
Experience in post-16 education or working within an industry-focused setting is desirable but not essential.
