Here at Lode Heath School, we’re on a mission to further develop all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment. Now’s your opportunity to help us achieve our ambitious goals as you lead on the delivery of Food and Nutrition, within the wider Art, Design and Technology Faculty, to deliver an exceptional learning experience.

Following continued success over the last few years, the community trusts us to deliver an outstanding education. In turn, we are working to develop Lode Heath as a learning hub for everyone in that community; as you support your students and team to thrive, so we’ll support you to progress your career with us. The ongoing training and development of our staff is a key priority, which is why you’ll enjoy a bespoke CPD programme ‘by teachers, for teachers’ that’s built around your particular talents and aspirations. And the sharing of best practice is both encouraged and common-place.

Within this refreshingly collaborative and team-focused culture, colleagues work together towards shared goals. Our aim, quite simply, is to make sure that pupil achievement is at the very heart of everything we do. Nowhere is this truer than in our high achieving Art, Design and Technology Faculty. Here our diligent and talented team is driven by high expectations and uncompromising ambition for our students.

As Subject Leader of Food & Nutrition, you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who is equipped to ensure high attainment and positive learning experiences for our students across key stages 3 and 4 in what is an already popular and oversubscribed subject at GCSE. And you get to do this in our newly refurbished facilities!

If you’d like to be part of our exciting future, you will need to share our belief in educating the whole person - and in helping every student, irrespective of their background or abilities, to build the skills, confidence and independence they need to thrive in higher education or the workplace.

There’s an exceptional environment waiting for you outside of work too. One of the most prosperous towns in the Midlands, Solihull offers plenty of superb amenities from its thriving shopping centre through to lively bars and first-class restaurants. Close to Birmingham Airport, the NEC and the new Resorts World development, it also has excellent transport links to Birmingham city centre and beyond.

An informal visit to the school is a great way to discover Lode Heath for yourself. Just contact Miss O’Sullivan at the email address below to arrange a date.
