The Trustees are seeking to appoint a Subject Leader of Modern Foreign Languages for Sedgefield Community College with effect from 25th April 2022 or earlier if possible.

Would you like to progress your career in an academy judged by OFSTED as ‘outstanding’, an academy where both student achievement and attitudes to learning are amongst the best in the entire North East and Cumbria region? Would you also like to work in a fantastic, recently built academy, set in one of County Durham’s most scenic areas? If the answer to each of these questions is ‘yes’ then Sedgefield Community College could be right for you.

We welcome applications from teachers who have both a track record of securing outstanding student performance, alongside consistently good / outstanding teaching. Whilst some leadership experience is desirable it is not essential, it is however essential that the successful applicant can demonstrate the drive, pragmatism and organisational skills to ensure all students make outstanding progress regardless of barriers.

We believe that this vacancy offers a rare and exciting opportunity to join a driven, dynamic and forward-thinking leadership team who will provide the ideal environment for an ambitious, energetic professional to develop and grow further as an outstanding leader.

If you are someone who has the ability to engage and enthuse students with a love of Modern Foreign Languages, coupled with the drive and commitment required to become a truly outstanding leader, then we would like to hear from you.
