Subject Leader of Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish): (MPS/UPS + TLR 2.3 £6,646, full time but 0.8FTE would be considered) 

An enthusiastic and well qualified teacher is required from September 2019 to lead a highly successful department. This is a key role to further develop excellent teaching, learning and assessment practices and to raise attainment and progress at all key stages. The successful applicant will be able to teach French and Spanish up to Key Stage 4 and ability to teach at least one of these languages up to Key Stage 5. This role will provide significant professional development, academic challenge and the opportunity to work within a vibrant learning community.  

The King Edward VI School based in Morpeth, is approximately 15 minutes north of Newcastle upon Tyne. We provide education for over 1400 students from Years 9-13, with a thriving Sixth Form of around 450 students. As one of the top ranking schools in the North East of England for academic achievement, we pride ourselves on being a fully inclusive and truly comprehensive school.

The King Edward VI School is a co-educational academy school based in Northumberland for students aged 13-19.

The school is part of the Cheviot Learning Trust. In terms of sports facilities, it has a six-lane synthetic floodlit running track, changing room facilities, synthetic hockey pitches, football and rugby pitches, two gymnasiums, netball and tennis courts.
