We are looking to appoint a diverse leader, committed to raising standards and attainment by nurturing and developing the Music and Performing Arts department, and leading it through a new era of change. 

The successful candidate must:

  • Demonstrate a sustained and proven track record of improvement in Music and Performing Arts
  • Demonstrate a clear vision for raising achievement in Music and Performing Arts at St Hild’s
  • Be able to oversee the input of Music into the KS3 curriculum, extra-curricular activities and offers
  • Have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to communicate with others
  • Have high expectations and be able to manage changes and be a reflective practitioner
  • Show the ability to motivate and inspire all students through high quality teaching and learning
  • Lead by example, be flexible and supportive and develop the skills of others
  • Demonstrate a professional commitment to develop own leadership skills
