Stewards Academy is an ambitious, over-subscribed 11-16 secondary school in Harlow, Essex. 

Our academy benefits from excellent, modern facilities and teaching spaces and we are very proud of our students who work hard and have high aspirations. 

The successful applicant will be energetic and enthusiastic and enjoy working with 11-16-year-olds. You will enjoy nurturing young people to grow in confidence and flourish personally.

In return, you will be joining our supportive team of dynamic and talented teachers in our PE department, who have the support of an experienced leadership team. The academy has its own swimming pool, MUGA and state of the art Sports Hall and Gym; providing excellent facilities for our students to learn and experience a wide range of sporting activities.

For our teaching team we offer an excellent CPD programme to support staff on their own teaching journey and progression.

About Stewards Academy

Stewards Academy is a co-educational secondary school in the town of Harlow, Essex, catering for around 1,000 students aged 11-16. 

Stewards Academy was known as Stewards School before it adopted academy status in 2011. It has specialist status in science. The school operates a number of partnerships with external providers.

Stewards Academy focuses on ensuring that its most capable students achieve their greatest potential. The secondary school runs a Gifted and Talented programme, which supports students judged to have considerable academic ability in a number of areas. Teachers aim to ensure that the innate talent of all students is recognised and that they are given the necessary support and attention to excel.
