Students in the academy routinely make more progress than almost any other school. Progress 8 is consistently above the national average. In 2019 the progress 8 score was 0.08 above the national average of 0.03. That is great news for our students, the academy and our community, but there is so much more that we know can be achieved and you can help.

The Role
We are now looking for a Subject Leader – Physical Education. You will play a leading role in developing the Physical Education programme for students in the academy. This exciting and challenging post requires an enthusiastic, conscientious and energetic individual, who is also an exceptional teacher of PE.
Duties will include:
• The strategic leadership of the Physical Education department;
• Ensuring high-quality teaching and learning is delivered to all students;
• Developing systems and procedures to efficiently challenge any underachievement;
• Developing meaningful partnerships with parents/carers and local primary schools.
