We seek an experienced teacher of Politics & Humanities who is able to shape and lead this popular area of our curriculum. We are keen to hear from talented middle leaders looking to extend their experience, and outstanding, ambitious teachers seeking their first middle leadership post.
Politics is a popular subject at A Level with many students opting to study it further at university. Students benefit from a range of extra-curricular activities to enhance their learning experience, including visits to Parliament and the Supreme Court, visits by local MPs and Question and Answer sessions with a peer, and the school is keen to expand and enhance these opportunities.
The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge of Politics at KS5, and will have experience of teaching another Humanities subject (preferably History or Religious Studies) at least up to GCSE standard. Candidates who have taught GCSE Business Studies would also be of interest.
They will be able to motivate and inspire both staff and students, demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills or potential, and be committed to inclusion and the well-being of every young person.
