Tes is supporting the appointment of a Subject Leader to join a school based in Northamptonshire.

This is an opportunity for a well-qualified, inspirational teacher of Religious Studies to lead the Theology and Philosophy subject area.

You will teach throughout the senior school, from KS3-5 and Oxbridge entrance. You will create engaging schemes of work, possibly lead trips/visits, support university preparation and be committed to supporting the vibrant extracurricular life of the school.

The ability to teach one or more other Humanities subjects - Geography, History, Business or Economics - would be of benefit. 

You will need a passion for teaching, excellent subject knowledge of Theology and Philosophy (Religious Studies) and good leadership skills, as well as a strong understanding of the curriculum. You will also be an excellent communicator who can enthuse and inspire both pupils and colleagues and will have exciting ideas about the teaching of Theology and Philosophy and the ways in which it can be further developed and encouraged across the whole school.
