Subject Specialist for Music

Main Scale & TLR2C (£2,720)

Required for Easter 2019

Our vision is:  To be a growth mindset community where ambition, hard work and resilience makes success for all a reality.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified colleague to take responsibility for Music in the school.  Music is a popular subject and we are looking for someone who is passionate about Music and who is ambitious for the success of our students.

The department has three music practice rooms, a modern computer suite and a fully equipped recording studio.  The successful candidate may be involved in delivery of some music lessons at Redden Court School.

We currently have 3 GCSE option groups and are keen to maintain uptake of this subject.

We are part of the Success for All Multi Academy Trust with Redden Court School and Sanders School.

As an employee you will be covered by our excellent well-being support and medical cover programme through the School Advisory Service (SAS).

If you are looking to advance your career in a small, friendly supportive school and are committed to providing the very best experience for our students we would love to meet you.  If you would like to speak to the Headteacher, Ms A Saunders, please feel free to contact the school.  We welcome visitors to the school from potential applicants.

The Royal Liberty School is a popular, over-subscribed 11-16 school for boys.  We are located a short walk from Gidea Park Station on a beautiful grade II listed site.

In 2017 we joined the Success for All Educational Multi Academy Trust.  We are making extensive use of our partnership with Redden Court School to continually raise standards of teaching and learning and student outcomes.

From September 2018 we are expanding by 1 form of entry (to 5 forms) to meet the increasing demand for places.  We have received funding for an extensive refurbishment of our buildings.

We are a small school and have a strong sense of community.  Boys are proud to be a part of the school and this reflected on their excellent behaviour and eagerness to take on roles of responsibility and to represent us in the local community.

Staff and students have excellent relationships based on mutual respect.  All members of the school community are ambitious to succeed.  Students feel supported to achieve the very best they can and encouraged to develop the skills and qualities they need to be successful every stage of their life.
