Job overview
We are proud of our Science team at Lilian Baylis Technology School. At KS3 the Science team has developed a highly praised Science curriculum that engages students through the use of relevant contexts, practical work and visits. At KS4 we offer GCSE Triple and Double Science. At KS5 we offer A-Level Physics, Chemistry and Biology and BTEC Science Level 3. We have strong links with St Thomas’ Hospital and the Science Museum.
You will be a good classroom teacher with outstanding subject knowledge and be able to teach to A* at A level in biology, chemistry or physics. You will understand the importance of improving our KS2-4 progress and be keen to be part of our initiatives to support this.
If you are an NQT you will have a reduced timetable, support from a leading practitioner and will be able to start, if available, from 4th July 2016.
In February 2013 OfSTED stated we were ‘outstanding in all aspects’. In addition our KS2-4 Value Added has been in the top 20% for the last 10 years and our KS4-5 Value Added was in the top 10% last 2 years for academic and applied courses.
