  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Applications are invited for the role of Support Teacher: Inclusive Education (ST:IE) at St Thomas' Catholic Primary School, Camp Hill. Applicants must have teaching experience of at least 5 years and hold (or be working towards) post graduate qualifications in Inclusive Education or Special Education as recognised by Brisbane Catholic Education. The successful candidate will: demonstrate an understanding of, commitment to, and support for the values and ethos of the Catholic school and the mission of the Catholic Church, use data to shape pedagogical approaches within the Australian Curriculum to cater for the diverse learning needs of all students, promote inclusive education practices, use collaborative processes, share skills and knowledge through professional development, consultation and advice and maintain professional expertise in a dynamic and evolving context including understanding of key policies, procedures and legislation.

St. Thomas is a co-educational primary school with a student population of 328 children from Prep to Year 6. Our school offers a contemporary approach to teaching and learning, supported by a technology rich environment and extra-curricular activities. Our emphasis is education for the whole child within the Catholic Christian tradition. Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019 


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
