We are seeking a Teacher with a passion to support students to join our great College.

The applicant we are seeking should:

  • Be an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who is able to demonstrate a commitment to the education of young people,
  • Have proven organisation abilities, effective communication skills,
  • Be an innovative and creative educator,
  • Applicants will have a familiarity with QCAA processes, and
  • Have a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum delivered within a technology rich environment

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • A strong knowledge of inclusive education practices and a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum,
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Experience in implementing Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs) and Personalised Support Plan (PSPs),
  • Experience case managing students,
  • An understanding of the NCCD process,
  • Involvement with BCE Strategies and practices which influence student progress and achievement,
  • An ability to oversee and deliver a range of mapping and planning functions to support inclusive education practices,
  • An ability to attend to innovative and creative teaching practices,
  • A proven capacity to work as part of a team,
  • A willingness to share knowledge and skills through professional development, consultation and advice,
  • Have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education,
  • Hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers, and
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

About Us:

St Benedict’s College is a developing co-educational secondary college which opened in January 2013. In 2022 we commenced the year with in excess of 970 students. The College provides a connection to secondary education for the students of co-located St Benedict’s Catholic Primary School, other local Catholic feeder schools, as well as students from a variety of other schools in the North Lakes-Mango Hill area and wider region. We are master planned as a six stream Year 7 to Year 12 College. Our College is committed to providing high quality contemporary education in a Catholic Christian context, embracing the spirit of St Benedict. Employment Tenure: Full Time & Part Time positions available + Fixed Term

Tenure Duration (if "Fixed Term"): Remainder of 2022 School Year

If Part Time, hours and/or days required: Both full-time or part-time working hours available - hours and days flexible
