Supported Learning Coach

0.88 FTE 40 weeks per year X 6 posts

Havering, Epping, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets

£26076 to £28012 depending on campus base

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Supported Learning Coaches. A key part of the role will be supporting learners with a range of additional needs, learning difficulties and or disabilities.  You will be supporting students in small groups and one-to-one who require help with their English, Maths and Study Skills.  Using a variety of tools to assess and provide support strategies to help them achieve their qualifications. 

Reporting to one for the Senior Curriculum Managers for Supported Learning the core purpose of  this role is to deliver support strategies across a range of abilities, levels and programme areas. Creating resources for English, Maths and Study Skills to reinforce learning and prepare learners for assessments and exams. 

It is essential that candidates have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification and a qualification in literacy/numeracy/Dyslexia/LDD or a willingness to obtain one.  You should have an understanding and experience of supporting learners with a range of additional support needs, learning difficulties and/or disabilities and experience of supporting in literacy and numeracy
