The Teacher Education department are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assessor to join our team,  assessing on courses for Teaching Assistants.

The successful candidate will be required to assess across Level 2 and Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning courses (Teaching assistants) aimed at learners 19+.

The successful candidate will have occupational and assessing experience in the area and ideally an understanding of the apprenticeship framework. This role will suit an experienced Teaching Assistant who wishes to use their skills and knowledge to support  others.  Experience of teaching in a classroom environment is desirable.

Applicants must be trained to a Level 3 or above in supporting teaching and learning in schools, or equivalent.  An A1 or equivalent Assessors award is essential and a teaching qualification is desirable.

Good communication skills, the ability to work as a team and to use your own initiative will be essential to your success as well as a clean driving licence and willingness to travel as you will be frequently off site.
