Shrewsbury School Swimming Academy strives to deliver the highest possible standards in the teaching of swimming to children aged 4 upwards through the Swim England National teaching plan.

We are looking to appoint a permanent Swimming Instructor to work 9 hours per week, term-time plus 6 additional weeks.  We would also welcome applications from candidates who would like to job share these hours.    

We would like to hear from you if you:

  • Can deliver high standards of swimming teaching and help pupils achieve their true potential;
  • Ideally hold a current ASA /Swim England teaching qualification at Level 2, or for the right applicant we will provide the relevant training;
  • Are self-motivated, sympathetic and have an encouraging personality with the ability to make learning fun; 
  • Work well in a team as well as on own initiative.
