Are you an inspiring, hardworking, primary or secondary trained teacher looking to expand you skills or learn more about Special Needs Education?

Would you describe your pastoral skills as a strength? Along with the ability to communicate with learners with extremely varying needs?

Could you develop your confidence to deliver at a lower level across the curriculum in the primary nurture model?

Do you have the patience and passion to work with some of the area’s most vulnerable children?

Do you feel that you could adapt to whatever a day may throw at you and enjoy making a huge difference working with some of the most vulnerable and fantastic young people?

We would love to hear from you at Vision for Education's Huddersfield branch!

This work is not for everyone. You will need a huge range of teaching skills and strategies; a willingness to add to your teaching repertoire with knowledge of Makaton signing, Team Teach and de-escalation techniques, intensive interaction, use of PECs (picture exchange communication system), to be open to CPD and learning more and more, but will find this fascinating!

Locations are: Kirklees, Wakefield, Calderdale and Bradford (office based in Huddersfield) 

Patience and passion are required in abundance, as well as a wonderful range of behaviour management and support techniques. You will need the ability to select and create appropriate resources for children with visual impairment, hearing impairment and meeting the needs of children with many sensory needs.You may have dipped your toe in SEND more and be keen to learn more.

You may have wanted to train in Special Needs Education but have been unable to find a suitable local course Or you might feel ready for a change, or motivated by something close to your heart to look into this.We work with exceptional and outstanding schools, good schools, brand new schools, and those on a real journey to be the very best that they can be.

At Vision for Education we offer a huge range of free training and support to candidates. Some examples include up to date and relevant training in Team Teach, Behaviour Management, Autism Awareness, Alternative, Augmentative Communication Strategies, Safer Handling, Emotional Well-being, Attachment and PDA.
