Job overview

About us and the role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled Teacher to support a young man in Year 8. You will be a part of our rapidly growing and friendly team.  If you are an excellent practitioner with the ability to inspire and motivate students, we would like to hear from you.

Avanti Hall is a school that is committed to giving all children an engaging and enriching educational experience. We provide a richly diverse and connected school environment, representative of the world that our pupils will enter. Our pupils mature into individuals who are ambitious, open-minded and confident. Along with our academic pathway, we also take care to support individual character formation and spiritual insight through the Avanti Way.

The Avanti Hall grounds on the outskirts of Exeter offer a site of inspiring natural beauty. Our main building, Thomas Hall, was built in the 1600s, with established woodland surrounding the main campus area. The building was part of Exeter University’s Duryard Halls of Residence for nearly 100 years before becoming a school.

The staff team at Avanti Hall School are passionate about our school and we are relentlessly focused on improving the achievement and opportunities for all our students. All staff that work at the school will need to subscribe to our ethos and values and seek to improve and develop their own practice and performance for the benefit of our students. This is a unique opportunity to help develop a new and innovative school which is driven by three key elements for both students and staff:

• Educational excellence

• Character formation

• Spiritual insight

As a genuine all-through school, we are in the position to make a long term, lasting and positive impact on our students’ lives.  The behaviour of learners in our schools is excellent and our parents, carers and students are highly aspirational.

Why should you apply

You will be working in a fantastic environment.
