Job Description

Based in Kingspark Special School for children and young people age 5-18 with Complex Additional Support Needs, the post provides an excellent professional learning opportunity/experience for teachers to develop their skills and understanding of children and young people with a range of complex additional support needs. You will work full time, 35 hours per week.

 

Requirements

You will be GTCS registered (Primary/Secondary/ASN), and have knowledge of relevant curriculum areas and experience of current ASN developments.

 

Responsibilities

You will deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute, within the collegiate ethos, to the professional life of the school.

 

The Individual

You will demonstrate application and knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and have evidence of appropriate Professional Learning relating to ASN. You will have a positive and caring approach and good communication skills. The post is considered Regulated Work with Children/and or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
