Agnew School is seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Teacher Aide at our Brisbane campus, situated in the Wynnum Manley district. This role is Full Time and available to start on 15 January 2018. 

The Position 

This role has responsibility for delivery of the teacher aide function within our primary school, and within secondary on request, including such activities as assisting with the supervision of education activities and classes under the direction of a teacher, assisting special needs and learning support students, assisting in the coordination of teaching equipment and materials and assisting teaching staff with playground supervision, sports and related activities.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be a team player and have a genuine love of teaching and working within the education environment. The ideal candidate will possess a positive "can do" attitude, have the ability to be flexible within a dynamic workplace environment and be highly organised with a strong attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have previous similar experience as a Teacher Aide in a primary setting, and also possess experience in learning support and group work. Flexible learning experience would also be desirable. 

As the school has a strong faith based approach to life and learning, the successful applicant will also need to be able to respect and support this aspect of the lives of the students.

Applicants for this position must hold a relevant Teacher Aide qualification (minimum Cert III in education support), and be in possession of a current Working with Children clearance.
