Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a good honours graduate in an appropriate discipline to teach Computer Science for 16 periods with the autonomy to design their own scheme of work and to promote enthusiasm and extension and enrichment of the subject throughout the school with Computing at A Level a particularly attractive additional offering. This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong wide department, the Department of Mathematics and, from next year, Computing, in a leading school. It would particularly suit either an enthusiastic graduate looking to make a direct entry into teaching or an experienced teacher seeking an entry into the independent sector. The College provides statutory induction for NQTs and will assist graduate entrants to gain Qualified Teacher Status through the funding of a PGCE by arrangement.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the wider life of the Mathematics and Science Departments as well as to the College’s extra-curricular programme.

The appointment will be made by the Head Master who will be assisted by the Heads of Science and Mathematics and members of the College’s Senior Management Team.
