Job overview

Due to expanding student numbers, an opportunity has arisen for a part-time (around 62.5% FTE/20 hours per week). Teacher of Art and Design Technology to join our Senior School Voorschoten, from the end of August 2017.     

We are looking for a highly motivated teacher with experience in teaching GCSE and A-Level Art, who can also offer Design Technology at Key Stage 3. Candidates must be qualified teachers with at least 2 years’ experience.  It is also essential that candidates are fluent in the English language and have experience of the British curriculum.      

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and inspirational role model for our students. You will be expected to contribute to the team, sharing responsibilities, and promoting the subjects beyond the classroom, through extra-curricular and whole school opportunities. 

The Art department is housed in purpose built studios within an open plan space of four teaching rooms, a resources room, and a storeroom.  We offer a range of disciplines and the studios are equipped to deliver drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, textiles, design and mixed media work.  

The Design Technology department is very well resourced with an excellent balance of CNC equipment, hand tools and machinery. CAD/CAM facilities include; laser cutter, CNC mill and lathe, CAMM1 Plotter Cutter and CNC router. 24 dedicated laptops also allow for flexibility and scope in the design and making process.
