Bicester Technology Studio is a co-educational school based in Oxfordshire for students aged 14-19.

There are no tests required for 14 year olds to be accepted into the school and no more than 310 students will be accepted into the school every year in order to ensure that the ratio of teachers to students remains low.

The school’s curriculum content is determined and shaped through a partnership of employers and universities and developed in line with government requirements. Alongside the core curriculum, students are offered specialist qualifications in engineering and business. All students also study a foreign language related to their technical curriculum experience. Work experience also forms a central element of the curriculum.

Values and vision

Bicester Technology Studio aims to provide students with a high-quality education and for students to pursue an exciting mix of project-based learning and valuable industry experience that will help set them up for excellent career and higher education options.

The school’s pledge is to provide every student who successfully completes their studies there with the opportunity to progress onto either further education, higher education, an apprenticeship, or a relevant employment opportunity.

The school wants its students to want to study in a professional work-like environment, take responsibility for their learning, learn in a relatively small school and enjoy lots of individual attention, and develop wider all round interests such as in sport, music, art or languages.
