Position Information 

Parramatta Public School is a school of 968 students (95% of students are identified as having English as an additional language or dialect - EALD). The school is situated in the progressive and rapidly expanding CBD of Parramatta. At the school, more than 38 different languages are spoken, with Hindi, Tamil, Telegu and Mandarin representing the largest groups in our language profile. Parramatta Public School is future-focused with flexible teaching spaces. These spaces are technology rich to serve multiple learning contexts from large class groups to small clusters, providing better opportunities for innovation, collaboration, personalised and individualised learning. Our community language programs are both face-face teaching and blended approaches and include bilingual support in the classroom. 

  
Specific Selection Criteria 
  1. Approval to teach infants and primary K-6

  2. Approval to teach Community Language - Hindi

  3. Proven ability to differentiate learning experiences to engage, challenge and inspire all students.

  4. Demonstrated capacity to engage and collaborate with the wider community to develop and foster a culturally vibrant school. 

  5. Willingness to collaborate effectively with all school staff and be flexible in approach in co-teaching learning environments.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
