Find out all you need to know about working for the BSN Senior School Voorschoten in our recruitment brochure

In Key Stage 3 students rotate through a range of different projects helping them to manage time and resources, and become familiar with equipment and tools. We encourage safe working practices and the development of independent thought. We believe in supporting students’ investigation of a wide range of materials, processes and techniques, leading to the development of technological awareness and the ability to make reasoned decisions and valued judgements.

At Key Stage 4 we teach AQA Design and Technology: we aim to broaden the students’ knowledge to allow them to develop practical and theoretical skills in order to solve problems both in two and three dimensions. We enable students to then apply this knowledge and understanding in a wider context relevant to today’s society.

Students’ learning in Key Stage 3 feeds directly into the new GCSE examination framework. At Key Stage 5 students have the opportunity to select A-level or IB routes. The school offers both the Diploma and Career-related Programme.

The department has a range of CAD/CAM resources available for students, run through 2D Design and Fusion 360 software. Our facilities are in the process of a multi-stage refurbishment, with phase 2 work just completed in summer 2019.

The BSN is a 1:1 device school with all students and teachers using Surface Pro. We use CANVAS as our VLE.

Applications should reach us by 4pm (CET) on: Thursday 10 October 2019

First Interview: If your application is successful you will be invited to an automated online video interview (Cammio)

Final Interviews will take place on Thursday 17 October 2019  (in The Netherlands).
