Dalbeattie High School is situated within the Stewartry area and has a roll of 370 pupils. We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic class teacher who displays a passion for learning.

The successful candidate will adapt quickly to fulfilling the educational and social needs of the class and who will play an active role in our staff team.

This position is temporary for a period of up to 9 months. The position may be considered as a secondment and Line Management approval should be sought before applying for the position.

Applications are welcome from current probationers pending attaining Full Registration with the GTCS in July 2019.

Applicants for teaching posts must be fully registered in appropriate sector with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT.

These posts are considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
