Teaching ServiceDubbo College South Campus is a vibrant member of the Dubbo Collegiate. Our campus focuses on teaching and learning needs of years 7-10. Dubbo is a regional city in the Central West of NSW offering the infrastructure and services for a population of nearly 40,000 people with all the benefits of a rural lifestyle.
Dubbo College South Campus is located in Wiradjuri country, appropriately four hours west of Sydney. The school has an enrolment of over 800 students, with 37% identifying as Aboriginal. The school has nearly 100 teaching and non-teaching staff. South focuses on engaging skilled, resilient and connected citizens to forge inspiring futures.
The English faculty is a dynamic team who believe in creation and implementation of enriching quality learning activities. We work collaboratively to offer authentic and meaningful experiences for all students.
- Approval to teach English (secondary)
- Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively in a dynamic faculty team by effectively utilising faculty protocols and systems to enhance reflective teaching practice and future-focused learning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and connections between staff, students and the wider school community to enhance student engagement.
- Capacity to provide timely, meaningful and explicit feedback on student learning in a variety of forms with an emphasis on cloud-based platforms such as Google Workspace to improve the achievement of student outcomes.
- Recognition and active promotion of the cultural significance of Indigenous perspectives especially within programming content and resource selection with an aim to strengthen understanding and links between all members of the school community.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
The successful applicant may be eligible to receive a one-off recruitment payment of $20,000. (Conditions Apply)
A relocation support package of up to $10,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
