Teacher for Inclusion and Alternative Provision (MPS) from September 2016

Are you committed and passionate about making a difference to the life chances of some of our most vulnerable learners? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity, in a successful, oversubscribed community school where every child truly matters?   We are seeking to appoint a highly qualified, innovative and inspirational teacher, (who may have a primary, middle or secondary school background), who is committed to raising aspirations, and securing sustained progress for all of our students, and in particular for disadvantaged students.  This is a new post, which is part of an exciting new project. Whilst the successful candidate will teach a class of around fifteen identified Year 7 students and a similar sized class in Year 8, for around half of their timetabled week, it provides a fantastic opportunity for someone with a clear vision, and passion for learning, to make their own mark through developing a tailored Alternative Provision for our students beyond KS3.   The post would suit a well qualified NQT, or equally would provide an opportunity for an established practitioner, looking for professional development, to develop and demonstrate the impact of their leadership skills.  This is an exciting time to be joining Gosford Hill School as it enters the next phase of its journey under the leadership of its new Headteacher. Visits to the school, by arrangement, are welcome.    Gosford Hill School is situated in Kidlington, on the north western edge of Oxford near to the new Oxford Parkway Station (a 50 minute journey from London). We are also fortunate to be at the gateway to the rural Cotswolds.   If you are interested in the post, please complete a Gosford Hill School application form and include a letter (of no more than two sides of A4) outlining your reasons for applying, your suitability for the post and how you will make a positive impact for disadvantaged students through the role.  Application forms and further details are available on the school’s website or from Nicola Cooke, Headteacher’s PA. (tel. 01865 374971; email The closing date for receipt of applications is Sunday 26th March 2017. Interviews are likely to be held week commencing 3rd April 2017. Please submit your completed application to
