Grafham Grange School is a special school for 70 students aged 10 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health as their primary identified need. It is situated in 42 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside in Bramley offering significant opportunities for outdoor learning.

The school offers a curriculum that covers academic and practical subjects allowing all students to find their talents and strengths whilst focusing on the skills they need to build better futures. If you answer YES to these questions then Grafham Grange School is definitely for you. We are looking for a qualified teacher to lead our new Y7 class. They will teach the class across subjects and provide them with the learning they need to make good progress.


The class will have, at most, 8 students, all of whom have EHCPs that highlight SEMH needs. They will not have made expected progress and will need an adapted curriculum to help them access their learning. Individuals may require intensive literacy support and experience of phonics teaching would be an advantage.


Our Primary Teacher will be responsible for:

• Teaching English across the school, and at all levels, from early reading programmes to GCSE


• Working with the English team to develop an active and creative curriculum that enthuses SEMH students


• Supporting the development of the whole school literacy programme


• Encouraging a love of reading throughout the school
