Position Information 

Gunnedah South Public School is located in regional NSW, serving a diverse student population. There are currently 593 students, with 243 identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school has a FOEI of 119 and has 27 classes operating in 2022. The school community has high expectations for every student, staff member and stakeholder. Specific Selection Criteria 

Approval to teach Infants and Primary (K-6) with a demonstrated ability to deliver high quality, differentiated literacy and numeracy programs using evidence-based practices, assessment strategies and data analysis to improve student outcomes and growth.

Proven ability to implement behaviour management and wellbeing initiatives that maintain and enhance a positive, supportive and inclusive classroom culture.

Evidence of highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team and build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.

Understanding of and sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds including students from Aboriginal backgrounds.

Willingness to collaboratively lead extra-curricular programs, including sport, creative arts and information communication technology.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
