About the role:
You will be teaching A-level Fine Art and Graphic Communications in the Performing and Visual Arts Department at City and Islington Sixth Form College. You will be leader for these two subjects which are studies by over 100 students in Year 12. The Performing and Visual Arts team has 16 staff and, as well as A-level Fine Art and Graphic Communications, the Department also offers A-level Photography, Fashion and Textile, Critical and Contextual Studies, Music, Music Technology, Dance and Drama. This is a thriving and energetic department and you will be working in a supportive and friendly environment.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher and leader with high expectations of students. You will have successful experience of teaching A-level Fine Art and Graphic Communications and be enthusiastic and creative and care about students.

City & Islington College is a successful further education college based in the London Borough of Islington, delivering a wide range of academic and vocational courses. The college has five centres and enrols over 11,000 students, including 4,500 16-18 year olds.
City and Islington Sixth Form College is a well-established and over-subscribed specialist A-level centre, with 1600 students on roll. We are situated on one site at the Angel in the heart of London and our wonderful students travel from across the capital to learn with us. All teachers are tutors to a pastoral group of up to 22 A-level students and we have a wide range of enrichment and extension activities to develop our students' confidence and skills.
The Sixth Form Centre at Angel Islington is a major London sixth form college, offering a huge range of A Level subjects to over 1700 students a year from across the city.
