Our new Advanced Construction Engineering (ACE) Centre at our Booth Lane site will be open from September 2019. Building on the College’s existing Construction, Engineering and Electrical expertise and resource, this new state of the art facility will provide places for up to 350 students and apprentices, and will focus on developing the future skills needed for the most up to date construction and engineering technologies.
We are looking to recruit further staff who have a strong interest in education and training within the construction environment. This post holder will be required to teach Construction and the Built Environment to a high standard within the School of STEM meeting the expectations contained within the College’s teaching and learning standards. This could include experience in this area and/or a range of experience in the industry which could include a skilled background such as Carpentry and Joinery, Brickwork or Site Supervisory positions etc.
You do not have to be a qualified teacher as full support can be provided to help you achieve teaching qualifications. We are offering attractive rates of pay, pension schemes and holiday allowances for those with the skills we are looking for. Full-time, part-time and flexible working opportunities are available.

Northampton College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college situated in Northamptonshire. It is a 16-plus institution with three campuses: a major building at its main Northampton site, a smaller campus near the town centre and another 20 miles away in Daventry. It provides places for around 9,000 students aged 16 and over, most of whom are full-time and aged 16-18.
Northampton College was opened in 1973. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College to expand its Daventry campus in August 2004, and its Booth Lane campus reopened after a large redevelopment in 2012.
