Job overview

Are you a recent graduate looking to get in to teaching? Have you worked in the industry but are looking for something more secure? Northampton College are currently seeking a creative Teacher in Games Design to work with our 16-18 year olds developing their software skills and guiding them through assessment in order to help to create the next generation of games designers. You would be teacher trained however we will accept applications from those who are new to teaching.

Northampton College is the leading provider of Further Education in Northamptonshire, Graded “Good” by Ofsted and financially outstanding. Our state of the art campus and reputation puts us in a dynamic and unique position to meet both the learning and training needs of individuals and employers.

We are seeking someone with software/industry experience and although a full-time post is available, we will accept applications from candidates who want to keep their toes in the industry as the hours can be flexible.

Northampton College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college situated in Northamptonshire. It is a 16-plus institution with three campuses: a major building at its main Northampton site, a smaller campus near the town centre and another 20 miles away in Daventry. It provides places for around 9,000 students aged 16 and over, most of whom are full-time and aged 16-18.

Northampton College was opened in 1973. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College to expand its Daventry campus in August 2004, and its Booth Lane campus reopened after a large redevelopment in 2012.
