St Andrew’s is a flourishing, forward thinking co-educational (290 pupils aged 3 to 13) day/boarding IAPS prep school preparing its pupils for a range of senior schools, both locally and nationally. A number of children win scholarships to their senior schools.
We are seeking an outstanding classroom teacher who is willing to work within a team and who can offer a contribution to the busy extra-curricular life of the school.
Years 3 to Year 5 make up the Junior Department at St Andrew’s School and we are looking for an outstanding individual to teach either Year 4 or Year 5. The teaching is form-based and the successful candidate will be expected to teach most subjects to his/her class and to most likely teach at least one subject to another Year Group (from Year 3 to Year 6). Skills to assist with the extra-curricular programme are essential and the ability to coach a sport would be an advantage.
Salary will be discussed at the interview but as an IAPS School the St Andrew’s School scale is at least comparable with main scale.
