Job overview

Are you a Teacher committed to improving the lives of children and young people? Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher to join a fantastic team at a special education school based in Lancashire.

About the role

As a Teacher, you will deliver lessons to pupils according to their educational needs, in a way that maximises children’s achievement and ability to develop. This is a great opportunity for a Teacher who wants to develop creative learning opportunities for children with varied and complex needs.

Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, working with pupils who require extra support with learning, in a school where they maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

When it comes to looking after children, the school never settle for second best. They are looking for a Teacher to support and motivate some of their most troubled and reluctant learners. You will work closely with Teachers and Senior Teachers, helping them in their vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Already experienced in an SEN or mainstream education environment, you will be forward thinking, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of mentoring, motivated by supporting families and helping every child to reach their potential. Successful applicants will work in the ASC suite. Applicants working towards Teacher status, ECTs and qualified Teachers all welcome to apply.

The school pride themselves in steering children in the right direction, nurturing aspiration to progress them academically and socially, to encourage them to take pride in their achievements.
