Position Information 

Moree Public School is located in the North West NSW. The school is set in large, attractive and well–maintained grounds. It has a population of 518 students, with 40% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school maintains high standards for student learning and behaviour and prides itself on having quality programs and practices in place. Our students benefit from a broad range of academic, creative and performing arts and sporting programs. The school enjoys close ties with and is very highly regarded and well supported by the local and wider community. Students are drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds. Specific Selection Criteria 

Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (primary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (primary) in regular and/or support classes. Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.

Commitment to the implementation of successful whole-school wellbeing programs with the proven ability to develop positive, inclusive learning environments through the highly effective management of student behaviour, supporting students with a range of social and emotional needs.

Capacity to build staff knowledge of the importance of knowing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to achieve best educational outcomes.

Understanding of the needs of students with learning and behavioural difficulties with a demonstrated capacity to lead consultation, planning, implementation and the review process, of Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Support Plans, for students with a range of learning needs.

Evidence of exemplary quality teaching to integrate a high-quality differentiated curriculum in literacy and numeracy into effective and successful classroom practice for all students, including high potential, gifted education students, students with learning difficulties, behaviourally challenged students and/or EAL/D students.

Outstanding communication, organisation and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage proactively and professionally with students and parents, from a diverse range of backgrounds, staff, support agencies and the wider community, as part of a collaborative team.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
