Sport, exercise, fitness and health are vital parts of modern society, and there’s a demand for people who understand these areas. At Wakefield College, we provide the ideal environment to prepare our students for a career in the industry. We have a range of bespoke facilities newly created to the highest standards, including a sports laboratory fully equipped with the latest technologies, professional sports therapy suites, strength and conditioning gym of international quality, working fitness gyms, studio sports pitches and a massage suite.
About the role of Teacher / Lecturer in Sport & Fitness
As a Teacher / Lecturer in Sport & Fitness, you will teach across a range of Level 1, 2 and 3 Further Education courses in the Sports provision and teach as required on the Level 1 Award in Fitness and Physical Activity and the Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym) courses.
You will also be required to assess and internally verify candidates in their place of work and College to meet National Occupational Standards within the Sports apprenticeship standards.

We’re looking for someone with a degree in Sport or other relevant discipline, who is adaptable and collaborative and who loves to see learning happen.
