ROYAL SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND LIVERPOOL

The Royal School for the Blind, Liverpool offers educational placements for children with visual impairments and moderate to severe learning disabilities. Placements at the school are for both day and residential children.

It is the aim of the School to provide the highest educational and care opportunities for all our children. The ages of the young people range from 2 - 19 years.

TEACHER (PRIMARY/EYFS)

Dates: To be negotiated with School

Salary: UNQ/MPR 1 - 6 Depending on experience and qualifications + SEN

Location: Church Road North, Wavertree, Liverpool L15 6TQ

Contract type: Full time

Contract term:   Permanent

We would like to recruit a candidate who is a qualified teacher (or aspiring teacher willing to work towards qualification) with a passion for working with children and the ability to promote our vision. You will be qualified to degree level, or equivalent and be prepared to study to be a QTVI.  It is desirable that you will have experience of working with primary/EYFS children with multiple disabilities, emotional and behavioural difficulties and be able to work as part of a team. You will have a flexible outlook and good listening skills with the ability to be firm but compassionate in nature. 

Closing date: Friday 1st December

Shortlisting: Monday 4th December
Interview date: Wednesday 6th December with a possible second day Friday 8th December if required.
