Teacher Mathematics - Batlow Technology School

Batlow Technology School is a K-12 school with a population of 129 students including 9 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, servicing the surrounding community in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. The school has a strong community focus on quality teaching, differentiated learning, collaborative teaching and fosters strong community links. The school has excellent facilities, including a multi-purpose hall, extensive technology and a Trade Training Centre. Students are active in the well-developed student welfare system and participate in a variety of co-curricular activities.

1) Approval to teach  Mathematics (7-12) . Approval and /or experience in maths extension 1 and 2.

2) Demonstrated ability to develop high quality, differentiated and inclusive numeracy/literacy programs that enrich student engagement and improve learning outcomes for all students.

3) Demonstrated commitment to whole school wellbeing programs with a strong emphasis on effective classroom practices and behaviour management strategies that contribute to a positive and inclusive culture ensuring all students connect, succeed and thrive.

4) Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with a proven capacity to contribute to whole school and extra curricula activities in order to promote a positive school culture.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
