Teaching ServiceHawkesbury High School is a comprehensive, co-educational high school, located in a semi-rural setting in the Hawkesbury District in Northwest Metropolitan Sydney. The school has 470 students in Years 7 – 12, including 11% Aboriginal students. The school has strong connections with the local community and is supported by a proactive and engaged parent body. The school has a strong focus on academic, vocational and wellbeing programs and it enjoys a strong and sustainable learning partnership with local primary schools. The successful applicant will work with an enthusiastic executive team, supportive staff and an engaged learning community that supports the social and academic development of all students.

Approval to teach Mathematics 7-12, with the capacity to design and implement innovative, high-quality teaching and learning programs and assessment practices that focus on student growth and improving student outcomes.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students and parents.
Evidence of effective classroom practice that includes the ability to cater for students with a diverse range of learning needs through differentiated curriculum, classroom practice and behaviour management strategies, that foster a culture of high expectations.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within the Mathematics faculty and contribute to whole school programs.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
