Position Information 

Kooringal High School has an enrolment of approximately 890 students including 10% Aboriginal students. Kooringal High School is located in Wagga Wagga. The school is partially selective with up to 150 students who have gained enrolment through the Selective High School Placement processes. The school supports a wide range of curriculum offerings for students including a trade training centre and a purpose built performing arts venue. Students are supported by a committed staff. The school has strong community ties and is supported by a proactive and engaged Parents and Citizens Association. Specific Selection Criteria 

1)  Approval to teach Mathematics (7-12)

 

2)  Demonstrated capacity to develop and implement innovative classroom practice and

     differentiate to meet the individual needs of a diverse range of students.

 

3)  Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member of a highly motivated

     Mathematics faculty.

 

4)  Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish

     positive, respectful relationships with students, staff and the school community. 

 

5)  Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal Education policies.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
